Six outstanding law students were granted 2000 EUR scholarship

Raidla & Partners Fund awarded the best law students of Tartu University with the annual scholarship. At the annual Estonian National Culture Foundation ceremony, six law students from the University of Tartu – 2nd year students Kerstin Jürgenson, Kärt Raud and Kristel Urke and 3rd year students Jaana Lints, Kristjan Oad and Elen Ruus – were awarded each a 2000 EUR scholarship,  based on their outstanding academic performance.

Jüri Raidla, the chairman of the Raidla & Partners Fund, commented that it is great to witness that the meaning of quality has again become most important factor in legal field. “Legal adviser today has to be the best, have in-depth knowledge of the market and understand the business processes to support the management in their strategic decisions. It is a great possibility for us to support the development of these young people, whose goal-oriented attitude in their studies creates a very good outlook to achieve such professionalism”, said Raidla.

Raidla & Partners Fund was established on 2 July 2007, on the day of the 15th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia and is the first sub-fund that supports legal education in Estonia. The Fund annually awards six law students from the University of Tartu – 3 second year bachelor degree students and 3 third year bachelor degree students – with the scholarship of 2000 EUR, based on their academic performance. The Fund was established by Raidla Lejins & Norcous Law Office. Board members of the Fund are Jüri Raidla, Ants Nõmper, Marit Toom and Professors Irene Kull and Kalle Merusk.
