AIPPI Baltic Conference 2009

The AIPPI Baltic Conference, organized every two years in the Baltic countries, will this year be held in Tallinn. The conference takes place from September 2 – 5 and is held at the Nordic Hotel Forum. This year, AIPPI Baltic Conference is also dedicated to the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, providing opportunities for all – AIPPI members, non-members, the newcomers and those skilled in matters of intellectual property – to exchange their latest experiences in intellectual property work and to draw inspiration how to stimulate and enhance the capacity for creativity and innovation in an environment in which intellectual property is respected and protected.

The Organising Committee has developed a strong programme which will be attractive to participants from a broad cross section of the Baltic States and international communities. This conference addresses a wide spectrum of related themes such as:

• Economical development and its impact of creation and management of the intellectual property worldwide and more narrowly in the Baltic area and its neighboring countries;
• The last trends of trademarks and designs, including industry stories on this aspect;
• Perspectives of European and Community patents – brothers or rivals

The partner heading IP&IT practice area in Raidla Lejins & Norcous Tallinn office, Mr. Ants Nõmper, will give a presentation at the conference on "Baltic Experience on Patent Infringements in the Pharmaceutical Field".
