Conferences and Seminars on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care
On August 21-23 the annual conference on ethical and philosophical issues on public health "22nd European Conference on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care" was held in Tartu, Estonia. Leading scientists and researchers from all over Europe gathered to discuss upon most topical issues on bioethics in a global context. The partner of Raidla Lejins & Norcous, Dr. Ants Nõmper presented an overview on e-health issues as the setting up of electronic health record databases is currently a very topical issue in several countries, including Estonia. His presentation "Population databases – from open consent to no consent" was held in the session of e-health and new medical technologies.
The conference was organized by the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) and the Centre for Ethics, University of Tartu. Next year the conference will be held in Germany, in Tübingen.

On August 28th a seminar "Pharma Law Regulations" will be held in Reval Hotel Olümpia, Tallinn. The seminar organized by Äripäev Seminars will cover the issues on potential developments of Estonian health system and pharmacy law.
